The CWS charity car boot sale jointly organised by NSTP was held at Summit USJ, from 3pm-9pm.
Being in the open car park was certainly a real challenge for all the vendors.
Set up time = > blazing hot sun + strong winds. Umbrellas and clothes rack came tumbling down several times.
2 hours later => raindrops starts falling..rain for another hour on and off..
Crowd => not sufficient to make the event very profitable for the vendors
No. of stalls => only about 50 taken up. (there were 90 slots allocated)
Perhaps not many people were aware of this event, or the marketing did not hit the right target market..or perhaps insufficient marketing in the first place, or could be that it was held on a saturday and people were tired working half day...
whatever the reason, it's certainly a lesson learnt for all.
Anyway..Thrift Shoppe did manage to make some profit after deducting the RM50 booth rental fee & the food /drink expenditure.
Its a good experience anyway.
p/s: sorry no pictures.. too busy handling the clothes rack and umbrella that keep falling during the first 2 hrs..Just too exhausted to think bout taking pictures. maybe if other sites post some pictures, will share them here.
